High-end Branding for Fast-Growing Commercial Decorating Contractor
Pride Decorating approached Tornado to create a high-end image for their fast-growing commercial decorating firm. Their sister company had grown significantly, dominating the local domestic decorating market. Pride needed a brand that was both recognisable and reflected the quality and professionalism of their highly trained decorating team. Their industry is muddled with a blend of large contractors and smaller one-man-band decorators, with very little differentiation other than scale. Pride waned to stand out from the crowd and set a new standard for professionalism.
Pride were adamant that they wanted their new brand to be professional and reflect their ability to effectively manage large decorating projects such as office blocks, hotels and large residential housing developments. As a new entrant to this market it was important that Pride were perceived to equal in capability with their larger, longer-established competitors but surpass them in quality and service.
The Directors wanted their branding to appear regal and heraldic. This was reinforced using Gold, Silver and Black colouring for differentiation – an unusual combination for decorating companies. Tornado graphic designers worked with Pride to craft a logo that was clear and simple enough to be effective displayed on clothing, van livery, business cards, stationery and throughout their social media presence.
All Tornado branding projects begin with research. The designers took time to understand Pride and their aspirations; building a brand for the long term that could grow as they did. Concepts were produced to gain a deeper understanding of the design elements Pride wanted to use. Tornado designers then condensed the feedback in to the final logo.
Really made up with the new designs for Pride. The logo, business cards and van look amazing. Craig Macleod
