Welcome to our amazing new designer Megan

Megan HunterTornado

Tornado are very happy to be expanding our creative team with our new team member Megan. As our brand new, shiny Graphic Designer, Megan is raring to get stuck in to all that Tornado offers. Fuelled by coffee and unicorns, Megan is here to drive the design side of tornado forward, helping us to take on more design focused clients and help our existing clients further develop their brands.

Meg has spent a few years in industry and is always pushing to learn and develop her skills. There’s nothing she likes to sink her teeth into more than a branding project, “developing the way a brand represents itself is just something I find really exciting, that piece of work could achieve anything from driving sales to giving a brand the voice it needs.”

In her own time, you’ll find Megan at a local arts market or at home doing some calligraphy. “I really like calligraphy because it’s creative but in a back to basics kind of way. You have to be so careful with the way you hold the nib it’s very easy to lose a few hours, I find it very relaxing”.

On top of creativity, there’s another side to our ginger little spark, she’s a traveller, although on pause right now as she’s saving for her house (nearly there), her dream holiday would be to Iceland. Seeing the Northern Lights and discovering what Iceland has to offer has been on her bucket list (there’s an actual list) now for many years.

By appointing herself as resident DJ, she has taught the office the meaning of ‘Disney Friday’. Although some of the team (Keith) were reluctant at first, you can now find all the team getting involved in singalongs of Disney classics, which helps the team and day fly (Aladdin reference intended).

Tornado Director Keith Paterson had this to say about Megan:

“As soon as I interviewed Meg I knew she was right for us and is the perfect fit for what we are trying to build here at Tornado. Her personality matches her excellent design skills and client’s will really enjoy working with her. It’s exciting for both us and our clients to have someone of Megan’s talents working at Tornado. Disney Friday took some getting used to, but I have now Let It Go.”
