Tornado are delighted to renew our partnership with The James Greenop Foundation as our charity of the year for 2019/2020.
Over the past year we have been involved in numerous projects to enhance the charities branding, helped with fund raising, volunteered our time at events and partnered up to deliver some amazing football camps and experiences for children in our community.
You may have seen the old James Greenop Foundation logo as a child’s drawing. This is a very special drawing, the picture was drawn by James, and has a perfect story as to why it needs to be a big part of the charity’s branding. We needed to make a logo that could be reproduced in any format but did not want to move too far away from that picture. Our designers traced the picture, so the tree and leaves are the same as James had drawn and then added a new rainbow that could be reproduced easily. We also created a logo for any affiliating companies or organisations, like us, to display their partnership with The James Greenop Foundation.
The team at Tornado have also been busy designing a whole new website for the charity. The new site makes it easy to update photos and information and we have made grant forms and contact information easily accessible. The new site is designed to help the foundation grow and share the events and great work they do.
Tornado have been involved in events alongside The James Greenop Foundation such as the Everton In The Community Soccer Camps. We provided places and some goodies on the the camps, which provided the opportunity for young kids to train with professional coaches from Everton in the Community. On our summer camp they where lucky to be able to take part in drills with three of Everton’s first team players, Cenk Tosun, Yerry Mina and Leighton Baines.
For the annual James Greenop Foundation Golf Open we were able to help organise and promote the event as well as providing photography to capture the fun (despite the weather!). We also supplied the event with score cards and tee signs showcasing all 21 sponsors.
The James Greenop Foundation founder
Russ Greenop had this to say.
“Everyone at TJGF is so grateful for the continued support we have had from the amazing Tornado Team.
Over the past 12 months Tornado have helped in so many ways from sponsoring our recent football camps in partnership with The James Greenop Foundation and Everton Soccer Schools. Giving over 180 kids the chance of a lifetime which included meeting Everton legend Graeme Sharp and first team players Baines, Mina and Tosun. To helping organise, support and even photograph our annual Golf Open which helped raise nearly £1500 and more importantly help raise the profile of our foundation and support our communities and the people whom need it most.
The icing on the cake though, has been the incredible dedication and hard work from all the Tornado team in making our amazing new website. Which will take us forward and keep everyone up to date with the amazing work we all do in building our boys Legacy.
Thank you so much Team Tornado for all your support and we look forward to an even better 2019/20.”
We would like to thank The James Greenop Foundation for their support and partnership we look forward to another fantastic year.
